Nine Bangladeshi women, including children, have returned to the country through Benapole checkpost through special travel permits after serving various terms.<\/p>\n

The Petrapole Immigration Police of India handed them over to the Benapole Immigration Police on Thursday evening.<\/p>\n

The returning women are Khusna Akhter, Dilruba Khatun, Bijli Das, Khurshid Khyber, Champa Menjam, Sonia Akhter, Ruhan Akhter, Sumi Sheikh, Jasmine Akhter. Their homes are in different areas of Habiganj, Joypurhat, Jessore, Khulna and Terokhada districts of the country.<\/p>\n

Sonia Akhter said that due to lack of income in the family, I went to Mumbai, India through the border through a broker to earn an income. Later, while working at home, he was arrested by the police for living in the country illegally and sent to the district jail. From there, an NGO called Navajivan took him out and put him in a shelter home. After a long time, I returned to the country today.<\/p>\n

Benapole Immigration Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Raju Ahmed said Asad, who had returned with a travel permit, had been handed over to Benapole Port Police Station. From there, the NGO Justice and Care will receive them and hand them over to their families.<\/p>\n

Muhith Hossain, Area Coordinator, Jessore Justice and Care, said the returnees would be housed in Jessore Justice and Care’s own shelter home. They will be handed over to their families later.<\/p>\n
