A Russian passenger plane has been intercepted in Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka. The plane had about 200 passengers on board.<\/p>\n

The plane was scheduled to leave Colombo on Thursday. News from the BBC.<\/p>\n

An official at Colombo’s Bandaranaike International Airport said the plane was intercepted at the behest of a Colombo commercial court just before leaving the airport, according to an AFP report.<\/p>\n

The aircraft stranded in Sri Lanka belongs to Aeroflot. It is the largest airline in Russia. Aeroflot shut down all international flights last March in the face of sanctions following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. However, the company resumed flights to Colombo in April.<\/p>\n

It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post. All the passengers and crew of the plane have been taken to the hotel, said the Bandarnayak Airport Authority.<\/p>\n
