A high-tech park is being built on three and a half acres of government khas land in front of the closed Dada Match Factory on Rupsha Strand Road in the metropolis.<\/p>\n

Khulna City Corporation Mayor Talukder Abdul Khaleq, State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak and Khulna-2 MP Sheikh Salahuddin Jewel laid the foundation stone at noon on Tuesday (June 14).<\/p>\n

Later, Khulna City Corporation Mayor Talukder Abdul Khaleq was the chief guest at the function presided over by State Minister Junaid Ahmed Palak at Shilpakala Academy on Sher-e-Bangla Road. The guest of honor was Sheikh Salahuddin Jewel, Member of Parliament for Khulna-2 constituency.<\/p>\n

Special guests on the occasion were NM Ziaul Alam, Senior Secretary, Department of Information and Communication and Asim Kumar Santra, Acting Assistant High Commissioner, Indian Assistant High Commission, Khulna.<\/p>\n

Khulna Deputy Commissioner was present at the ceremony. Moniruzzaman Talukder, District Bar Association President Advocate Saiful Islam, Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) Additional Commissioner of Police Sardar Rakibul Islam, Khulna Metropolitan Awami League General Secretary MDA Babul Rana, Khulna Metropolitan Awami League Office Secretary Md. Munshi Mahbub Alam Sohag and convener of Mahanagar Juba League Shafiqur Rahman Palash. Bikarna Kumar Ghosh, MD of Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority gave welcome speech on the occasion.<\/p>\n

Stakeholders are hoping that Khulna will go one step further in building a digital Bangladesh through the construction of this seven-storey building at a cost of Taka 160 crore.<\/p>\n
