In the results of the election, SM Jahangir Alam (Morning Time) 15 votes for President, Sheikh Mahatab Hossain for General Secretary (Morning Paper) 11, S Rafiqul Islam (Morning Time) for Treasurer 12, Abdur Rashid Elin (Morning Time) for Vice President 11, Joint Secretary Uday Chakraborty (News) got 14 votes and Abdul Majeed (Jashore) got 11 votes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Apart from this, organizational secretary Zahidur Rahman Biplab (Eastern region), sports editor Abdur Rashid Bachchu (Dhaka daily), MA Ershad (Samkal), Sheikh Enamul Basar Tito (Sambad Sarabela) and Sujit Mallick (Pravah) were elected unopposed.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Journalist MA Ershad served as Chief Election Commissioner, Assistants were Sheikh Enamul Basar Tito and Sujit Mallik.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Local Member of Parliament Narayan Chandra Chand exchanged words with press club election journalists.
