In Dumuria, a helpless woman was given a gift by the Prime Minister and placed in the house by the executive officer

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Abdul Wadud has given shelter to a helpless poor woman who lost her husband and child in Dumuria.
On Thursday (March 31) at noon, the Upazila Nirbahi Officer handed over the keys of the Prime Minister’s gift house to the woman at her residence in Kathaltala area of Atalia Union.
It is learned that Aklima Begum got married to Abu Taher, son of Md. Afsar Hossain of Kulbaria village of the upazila in 2016. After two years of marriage, Aklima gave birth to a son (Asadul). Aklima was living happily in a poor house with her husband and children. Meanwhile, another child was born in Aklima’s womb. Husband Abu Taher died in an accident on May 9, 2019. The nest of happiness of Aklima who lost her husband is like a black cloud coming down. The second child is born. She used to live in a hut on the side of the road with her mother-in-law and her mother-in-law.
Meanwhile, in March this year, the eldest son Asadul (5) died when his engine van overturned on the road near his house. The upazila administration inquired into the matter as some people were watching the helpless family. Later, the qualified Upazila Nirbahi Officer Abdul Wadud decided to hand over the house number 11 built for the landless in Kathaltala to Aklima who was living in a shack on a helpless basta. Upazila Project Implementation Officer was present at the time of handing over the house. Ashraf Hossain, journalist, including locals.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Executive Magistrate Md. Abdul Wadud told reporters that Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina wanted no one to be landless and homeless. I have found out that Aklima is really helpless after losing her husband and children. He needs a little head space so I came myself and explained the house.
