Russia expels 16 EU diplomats

//International News Desk//
Russia has expelled 16 European Union (EU) diplomats. Russia’s foreign ministry issued the order on Friday, Reuters reported.
Earlier, on April 5, the EU expelled 19 Russian diplomats from Brussels, the capital of Belgium. A statement from the EU said, “These diplomats are involved in activities that are not part of their diplomatic responsibilities.”
Russia’s foreign ministry said in a statement that it had summoned Marcus Eder, the EU’s ambassador to Moscow, to protest the move. Moscow finally responded on Friday.
In a statement, the Russian Foreign Ministry said that the EU’s bilateral cooperation with Russia, which had developed over the past few decades, was being destroyed and that the EU was fully responsible for it.
