Barrister Shehrin Salam Oishi, daughter of Salam Murshedi, criticized barrister Sumon for calling Abdus Salam Murshedi, a member of Parliament of Khulna-4 Constituency and vice-president of Bangladesh Football Federation (BAFFE) as criminal and corrupt, despite the writ case being pending.
On Sunday (November 27) in front of the annex building of the Supreme Court, he presented his speech to the journalists.
Barrister Shehrin Salam Oishi said, “Barrister Syed Syedul Haque has written a writ against my father. Since the writ was filed, he has unfortunately gone live multiple times. Where he has tagged Honorable Member of Parliament Abdus Salam Murshedi with different names. He gave him criminal tag, corrupt tag. It is sad, he (Barrister Suman) is a lawyer. I am a lawyer myself. I do not understand that the matter is pending before the Hon’ble Court. How can he live the pending matter in contempt of court. It’s sad.
Addressing the journalists, he said, I think the journalist brothers and sisters in front of us must take this into consideration. The truth should go through your hands. We have been seeing that all the time. Requesting the cooperation of journalists.
Barrister Oishi said, “My father is not only a member of parliament. He is a proud footballer of Bangladesh. Those who work in sports beats know about him. I am here today not as a lawyer but as a daughter to seek justice for my father. Those who have seen him as a businessman, as a politician know what kind of person he is. When a father is humiliated like this live, it feels sad. Please do not publicize. When a matter is in court. The court will decide. We respect your Hon’ble Court.
Meanwhile, the court fixed December 1 (Thursday) for the next hearing of the writ filed against Salam Murshedi on the charge of building a house by registering the property of the government in his own name.

Why should the inaction of the defendants not be declared illegal to take action against Salam Murshedi on the charge of building a house by registering the government’s property in his own name on November 1? The High Court issued a ruling asking that. Also, the court ordered Rajuk (Capital Development Authority), Public Works Department and Salam Murshedi to submit all the documents related to this property to the court within 10 days.
Justice Md. The High Court bench of Nazrul Islam Talukder and Justice Khizir Hayat gave the order.
