Meeting of freedom fighters at Amtali of Barguna on the demand of anti-independence free Awami League committee

A meeting of the freedom fighters was held at the Muktijoddha Complex building in Amtali, Barguna at 11 am on Thursday to discuss the issue of not including the freedom fighters in the Awami League committee.
At the beginning of the meeting, 1 minute silence was observed in recitation of Quran and remembrance of martyred freedom fighters.
Former office secretary of Muktijoddha Sangsad, former president of Amtali Command Council, AKM Shamsuddin Ahmed Sanu presided over the meeting. .
Speakers at the meeting said that according to the announcement of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, daughter of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu, no Razakar, Al Badr, Al Shams and any member of the peace committee or any child of the family can be in the Awami League committee. We also demanded not to keep these people in the Awami League committee in Amtali Upazila.
President AKM Shamsuddin Ahmed Sanu said that there are 56 freedom fighters in Gulishakhali Union. No freedom fighter member was included in the union and ward Awami League committee. The current union Awami League president, former chairman Adv. Nurul Islam is the son of Razakar. Excluding him, I am recommending to keep the power of Awami family and pro-independence party in the post of chairman of Awami League committee. Hundreds of heroic freedom fighters of the upazila were present on the occasion.
