Amtali Municipal Election in Barguna will be held on March 9. Even though the residents of the municipality are worried about fair voting due to the movement of outsiders in Amtali around this election, the returning officer said that not even an outsider can stay inside the municipality.

When we visited the ground and discussed with the voters, the voters said, we want a fair election in the municipality, we don’t want any kind of terrorist activities. We want people to vote in a fair and peaceful manner. But we are apprehensive about fair elections because the influx of foreigners has increased at an alarming rate.

Among the voters, there is concern about the fair and peaceful polling of the neighboring areas led by terrorists led by various public representatives.

Total voters in Amtali municipality are 15 thousand 8 hundred 39 people. In the election, 9 candidates are competing for the post of mayor, 36 candidates for the post of councilor and 09 candidates for the post of women councilor.

Barguna District Election Officer Abdul Hai Al Hadi said, “We are aware of the movement of foreign terrorists.
