The difference between General Honors and Professional Honors in National University

Just like public universities like DU and RU have separate IBA institutes, some honors courses have been created in some educational institutes affiliated to national universities.

One is called “Graduate (Honors)” and the other is “Graduate (Honors) Professional”.

The teaching method of General Honors in the National University is in Bengali version while the teaching method of Professional Honors is in English. General Honors is taught in both public and private institutions but Professional Honors is taught in private colleges and institutes.

In general honors, government colleges spend 30-75 thousand Taka in four years, while private colleges spend 80 thousand-1 lakh 60 thousand Taka in four years. The cost of professional honors in four years is around 1 lakh 20 thousand – 4 lakh 50 thousand Taka. Depending on the organization.

There is no internship in general honors. There are internship arrangements in the profession due to which the students studying professionally have the possibility to get a quick job.

Examination once a year in General Honors, 2 semesters per year in Professional Honors and 8 semesters in 4 years. Major subject is fixed at the time of admission in general honors. And in the 4th year of professional major subject is fixed.
