No rain, the people of Barisal are burning in extreme heat

The people of Barisal have been burning in the unbearable heat wave for almost a week but the desired rain is not coming. The city dwellers say that they have never felt such unbearable heat before. Unbearable heat is not going to stay indoors or out of the house. In this condition, people’s nausea has risen in the intense heat. According to the meteorological office, there has been continuous heat wave in Barisal from mid-April to the present time. In the last 7 days, public life has become unbearable due to unbearable pressure. Occasionally there are clouds and storms in the sky but the desired rain is not seen. As a result, public life has almost come to a standstill in the scorching heat.

April and May are usually the hottest months. Kalbaishakhi storms also occur during these months. That is why there is a balance of temperature. But surprisingly, this time there is no rain in Barisal and extreme heat is flowing. Mazharul Islam, an observer at the Barisal Meteorological Department, said the maximum temperature in Barisal in March 2019 was 31 degrees Celsius. The average temperature in April of the same year was 32.6 degrees Celsius. March and April 2020 average temperatures were 32.2 and 33.6 degrees Celsius. March and April 2021 were 33.9 and 35 degrees Celsius. The highest temperatures so far in March and April of this year were 33.8 and 35.1 degrees Celsius. Observer Mazharul further said that after analyzing the temperature for the last 4 years, it has been seen that the temperature is gradually increasing every year.
