Mobile court fines and clinic seal gala in Taltoli, Barguna

A mobile court has sealed a clinic in Barguna’s Taltoli for imposing a fine on a doctor and not having a license. Two more diagnostic centers and a pharmacy have been fined for various irregularities.
Today, Monday (April 11) at noon, the Upazila Executive Officer and Executive Magistrate Md. Kawsar Hossain conducted the operation.
According to the mobile court sources, the operating theater of the hospital was sealed in Taltoli Upazila Sadar on the charge of various irregularities including non-availability of license of private Islamia Diagnostic Center and Hospital and full time duty doctor. At the same time, the hospital was fined Tk 25,000.
A fine of Rs 30,000 was imposed on the New Popular Diagnostic Center for having only the pharmacist’s Ezer signature on the price list and all the examination papers. A fine of Rs 5,000 has been imposed on Taltoli Lab Aid Diagnostic Center for not having a license and Rs 5,000 has been imposed on Bismillah Drug House for not having sample medicine and drug registration period of different companies.
Also, a man named Mohsin Reza has been cheating patients for a long time by pulling a keyboard with special training in mother and child diseases. A mobile court operation was conducted in the Mohsin Raza Chamber on such allegations. He could not show any relevant certificate at that time. He was later fined Rs 30,000 for showing fake documents and his chamber was sealed.
Md. Kawsar Hossain, executive magistrate and upazila executive officer of the mobile court, said he had been conducting medical activities for a long time in an unauthorized and illegal manner. The owners of the clinics have also been fined for lack of legitimacy. A clinic has been sealed. The mobile court campaign will continue.
