But the picture for the whole of Ukraine is not the same. The media quoted the Washington Post as saying in a report on Friday that many Ukrainian troops had refused to fight.
They complain that they do not have enough weapons. The commanders are not helping them either.
“Our command does not take any responsibility,” said Serhi Lapco, a company commander. They just take credit for our achievements. They do not help us.
They are refusing to fight and the detainees are facing trial in a court-martial.
The Washington Post has released a video about this. According to the video, it is the 115th Brigade of Ukraine, the 3rd Battalion fighting in Severodonetsk. They said they were refusing to fight because they had no war commander. There are no weapons and no respect.
“We’ve been waiting for two weeks now for the new Rush,” said one soldier in the video. We are actually being sent to certain death.
However, it is rare for Ukrainian troops to refuse to fight.
Another group from the same battalion criticized their comrades in another video, saying they had left their comrades on the battlefield. The group called them fugitives.
