Sheikh Hasina took oath as the Prime Minister for the fifth time.

President Md read the oath to Sheikh Hasina at Bangabhaban on Thursday at 7 pm. Sahabuddin.

Through this oath, Sheikh Hasina made history with the responsibility of the head of government of Bangladesh for the fifth term. And for the fourth time in a row, his party Awami League took the responsibility of running the state.

Earlier, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the new cabinet members came to Bangabhaban in the evening to take oath. Besides, at least 1,400 guests and dignitaries are present at the swearing-in ceremony.

It is to be noted that out of 299 seats in the 12th National Assembly elections held on January 7, Awami League won 222, Jatiya Party 11, Independent 62, and Workers Party and Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (Jasad), a partner of 14 parties led by Awami League, won one seat each. Bangladesh Kalyan Party has won one seat.
