Traffic policeman Abdus Samad passed SSC with GPA 4.25 at the age of 57.

Traffic police constable Abdus Chamad (57) working in Bogra is only 2 years and 10 months away from retirement. With the encouragement of his wife, he passed SSC at the age of 57.
Chamad passed with a GPA of 4.25.
The news of his success was known as a result of SSC and equivalent exams on Sunday. Chamad is a resident of Ashrafpur village in Bagha Upazila of Rajshahi. He is currently working in Bogra Sadar Traffic Department.
Chamad said that he joined the Bogra police two months ago. Earlier he was in traffic department of Ishwardi in Pabna. There he was admitted to a vocational institute in Lalpur, Natore. As the school is close to Ishwardi, it is convenient for him to continue his studies. However, he was transferred to Bogra before getting the exam results.
He said that he got a job in the police department on October 10, 1987, 37 years ago. A child of a lower class family, Samad has two more brothers and a sister. So he joined the police after passing the eighth standard at that time to take care of the family. Later, in the reality of the workplace, there was no opportunity to participate in the SSC examination. However, at the end of his service, with the encouragement of his wife, Samad participated in the SSC exam and competed in the results.
In this regard, Bogra Additional Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Sudeep Kumar Chakraborty wrote in his Facebook status, ‘SSC exam results have been published on Sunday. 1 lakh 81 thousand 129 students got total GPA-5. But overriding all the joys, the unique source of joy for District Police Bogra is Constable Abdus Chamad working in Bogra’s traffic department who passed out from technical branch with GPA 4.25 at the age of 57. In 1987, he joined the Bangladesh Police after passing the eighth standard. Only 2 years and 10 months left for retirement. In a long service life of 37 years, the reality of the workplace, hundreds of failures and the bitter sorrows of life were lost in an instant in exchange for hard work, perseverance, determination, indomitable willpower and devotion.
