Husband dies 8 days after wife and child killed in road accident in Amtali, Barguna

Wife Nurunnahar Begum (40) and son Md. Rakir (18) were crushed to death by the pressure of the pickup on Monday. Unable to bear the grief of losing his wife and children, her husband Md. Abul Kalam died of a heart attack 7 days after their death. The sudden death of three members of the same family has cast a shadow of mourning over the area.
The incident took place in West Chunakhali area of Amtali upazila on Sunday morning.
It has been reported that Abul Kalam’s wife Nurunnahar and son Rakib Mirzaganj of Paschim Chunakhali village of the upazila left home for Darbar Sharif on Monday. On his way to his brother Siddique Pahlan’s house, his wife Nurunnahar Begum and son Rakib were killed when they were hit by a pickup truck (Chittagong Metro-No-11-9063) in West Chunakhali area of Patuakhali-Kuakata highway.
Kalam lost them and lost his way. Husband Md. Abul Kalam died of a heart attack on Sunday morning, 6 days after his wife and children died. The death of three members of the same family has cast a shadow of mourning over the area. Parveen (18), the only daughter left by Tadar, is fainting in tears at the death of her parents and brother.
Neighboring Madrasa teacher Md. Rafiqul Islam Monju said that her husband Kalam died of a heart attack as he could not bear the grief of losing his wife and son. He added that the death of three members of the same family in six days has cast a shadow of mourning in the area.
