NSI officer dies in road accident in Amtali

Md. Al-Amin (36), assistant director of Barguna district office of government intelligence agency NSI, was killed and Abu Taher (35), an employee of that agency, was injured in a road accident at Khalian on Amtali-Kuakata highway in Bargunar district.
According to Amtali Police Station and NSI Barguna District Office sources, Assistant Director Md Al Amin and Field Worker Abu Taher were coming to Amtali from Kalapara on a motorcycle yesterday (11 November) around 8:30 PM. On the way, when reaching a place called Khalian on the Amtali-Kuakata highway, the motorcycle collided with the back of an empty trolley standing on the side of the road. The NSI officer was killed on the spot and the accompanying field worker Abu Taher was seriously injured.
On receiving the news, Amtali police station reached the accident spot with the help of locals and rescued the dead body and injured field worker and brought it to Amtali Upazila Health Complex.
The doctor on duty at that hospital declared the NSI officer dead and the injured field worker was admitted to the hospital and is being treated.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Amtali Police Station AK,M Mizanur Rahman said that the assistant director of NSI Barguna district office was killed in a road accident and the field worker of that office who was with him was injured.
