In Taltali, Barguna, the teacher is accused of assaulting journalists

The headmaster of a school in Taltali upazila of Barguna has been accused of assaulting two journalists. The accused Zahidul Haque is the headmaster of Dhirendra Debnath Shambhu Lower Secondary School in Sohag upazila.
The incident took place in front of the Taltali Broadband Network office on Muktijoddha road of the upazila on Thursday (November 17) night.
The victimized journalists are Yusuf Ali, Taltali Upazila Correspondent and Taltali Journalist Union President of Dainik Nayadigant newspaper and Shahadat Hossain, General Secretary and Daily Manabkanth Taltali Upazila Correspondent.
Two journalists said that the headmaster Sohag has cut off the Wi-Fi line in Taltali Journalist Union office for two days. The said teacher will manage the broadband network in Taltali. When I went to his office to talk about the shutdown of the Wi-Fi line for two days, Sohag said insulting words to the journalists and abused the journalist Shahadat. He screamed and threatened. At this time, journalist Yusuf Ali was also harassed. He threatened to watch the journalists.
Journalist Yusuf Ali said that the Wi-Fi in the office of the Union of Journalists has been closed for two days. When Sohag went to talk about this, he behaved strangely when he saw the journalists. The journalist came to beat Shahadat by abusing him in unspeakable language.
In this incident, local journalists said, Sohag (Jass) is the upazila general secretary of the nationalist social cultural organization. Elder brother Shahidul Haque is the convenor of Upazila BNP and the current Member of Parliament of Barguna 2 Constituency and District Awami League President Birendra Debnath Shambhu is a secondary school teacher, so he shows power. Also, under the umbrella of local Awami League leaders, they have become owners of money overnight by doing interest transactions.
Accused teacher Zahidul Haque Sohag said, I cut the line because the WiFi line bill was pending.
Shakhawat Hossain Tapu, OC of Taltali police station, said that legal action will be taken if complaints are received.
