Mother and daughter are giving HSC exam together

Marufa Akhtar, Dimla of Nilphamari, participated in the Higher Secondary (HSC) examination with her daughter after passing the secondary examination. Daughter Shahi Siddiqa appeared from science department and Marufa Akhtar from BM branch of the same college.
Both mother and daughter are students of Sheikh Fazilatunnecha Mujib Government College of Dimla Upazila.
Marufa Akhtar got better results than her daughter by participating in SSC exam 2020 together. He passed SSC with GPA-4.60 and his daughter Shahi Siddiqa got GPA-3.
According to family sources, Marufa Akter’s father’s house is in Nautara village of Dimla upazila of Nilphamari. Married to Saidul Islam of Punyarjhar village of Khalisha Chapani union of the same upazila. Saidul Islam is a fishmonger by profession. Among two boys and two girls, HSC candidate Shahi Siddika is the eldest. The second son is studying in class 10, the third daughter in class VIII and the younger daughter in class V.
Marufa Akhter got married in 2003 when she was studying in class 10. Then his studies stopped. It took 15 years to raise four children in a row. However, he still has a strong desire for education. As a reflection of that, he completed secondary school with his daughter with the strength of his latent will power. This time he sat for the higher secondary examination.
When asked about resuming studies, Marufa Akhtar said that she started studying again from class 9 due to her own desire and the encouragement of her husband and children. Admitted to Chotakhata Fazil Madrasa. At that time, his daughter was also a ninth grader. Then in 2020, he participated in the SSC exam with his daughter and passed.
Marufa Akhtar said, like ten other people in the society, I have started my studies again with difficulty so that I can introduce myself as an educated person. I want to pass HSC and get admission in a good university of the country.
Marufa Akhter’s husband Saidul Islam said, “I have respected my wife’s wish.” As far as he can study, I will support him to continue.
