Dumuria Press Club bi-annual elections completed. President Jahangir Alam and Secretary Sheikh Mahatab Hossain

The press club’s bi-annual elections were completed in a festive atmosphere at Dumuria in Khulna.
On December 17, Saturday morning, 23 voters exercised their right to vote non-stop from 10 am to 2 pm in the press club’s two-story building.
14 candidates contested the election against 6 posts. In the results of the election, SM Jahangir Alam (Morning Time) 15 votes for President, Sheikh Mahatab Hossain for General Secretary (Morning Paper) 11, S Rafiqul Islam (Morning Time) for Treasurer 12, Abdur Rashid Elin (Morning Time) for Vice President 11, Joint Secretary Uday Chakraborty (News) got 14 votes and Abdul Majeed (Jashore) got 11 votes.
Apart from this, organizational secretary Zahidur Rahman Biplab (Eastern region), sports editor Abdur Rashid Bachchu (Dhaka daily), MA Ershad (Samkal), Sheikh Enamul Basar Tito (Sambad Sarabela) and Sujit Mallick (Pravah) were elected unopposed.
Journalist MA Ershad served as Chief Election Commissioner, Assistants were Sheikh Enamul Basar Tito and Sujit Mallik.
Local Member of Parliament Narayan Chandra Chand exchanged words with press club election journalists. At this time he was accompanied by women vice-chairman Sharmina Parveen Ruma and Awami League leaders.
